About

Repurposed Counseling & Coaching was founded to help women, men, youth, children and couples, either find their original purpose or to walk through difficulties that life presents to be repurposed for their new journey.

We offer a variety of counseling services to meet the unique needs of our clients, including individual therapy, couples counseling, and group therapy. We also offer groups and are available to speak at your church, to your youth group or your school. Our premarital counseling utilizes assessments: SYMBIS or Prepare/Enrich to enhance your premarital journey.

Our Team of qualified therapists have each walked through life’s struggles in one form or another and want to help you process your journey to come out better on the other side by working collaboratively with our clients to identify their goals and develop a customized treatment plan. We also place a strong emphasis on building a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship. Please check out our website to identify which therapist would best suite your needs.

We are available in 3 locations in the Chicagoland area as well as online:
- Streeterville (Superior/State)
- Englewood
- Oak Brook
- Telehealth anywhere in Illinois

We accept the following insurances:
Aetna, BCBS PPO, Cigna, Oxford, United Healthcare, Medicaid, and Tricare

My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice

We enjoy learning about individuals and their stories. When you come meet with us, it will be like you are having coffee with a good friend, who is listens, engages, and empathizes with you over your struggles. We may laugh & cry together. Our team uses different methods depending on our personality, so please look at our bios to find the best fit for you.

We know it is hard to find a good Christian counselor. So we try to understand where you are at with your faith story (even if it's non-existent), bringing prayer and Scripture when needed, but also a non-judging perspective to help guide you along the way. This is not a bible study or accountability session, but a time of bringing your struggles to light & ultimately to the foot of the Cross.

Traumatic experiences are like tangled knots of grief, shame and guilt, silenced needs and emotions, and triggers that can affect present daily living. However, when processed and unraveled, we can develop a life of healing and resilience. My passion is to help adult individuals and couples who have experienced abuse during childhood, PTSD, Complex-PTSD, sexual trauma, grief, relational challenges and life transitions.

As a trauma-informed counselor with more than five years of experience, I incorporate a variety of evidence-based approaches like EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), emotionally focused therapy, Gottman couples therapy, internal family systems, cognitive behavioral therapy and use practical tools. In counseling sessions, I like to really get to know your story so we can collaborate at each step as we navigate your healing journey.

One of my goals is to make every counseling session a place where anyone can feel validated and free to be vulner
