About
Hi, I'm Chelsea. My approach is a blend of clinically-based therapeutic skills and the truths of the Gospel that point us to connection and healing through Jesus. Here, we'll explore your anxiety, depression, trauma, disappointments, and pain through the lens of a broken world far from Eden that still holds real redemption and healing through Jesus while incorporating the gifts of neuroscience and (when helpful) clinical diagnoses to help make sense of your experiences. I will not approach you as an expert on all matters of faith, but as a fellow traveler on the journey of following Jesus. Together we will seek the life, joy, and power He offers and the peace of the Holy Spirit in this battle-torn world that can leave us disoriented and heavy in heart.
Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
Prior to becoming a counselor, I spent nearly a decade practicing law. My journey into counseling grew out of my own journey of healing. Like many people, I have wrestled with unanswered questions, and what it means to trust God when life takes unexpected turns. At the same time, God has done a very transformative healing work in my life. Through seasons of disappointment, healing, and wrestling with difficult questions, I began to sense a call toward helping others find the same healing I had experienced. My own counselor played a profound role in that journey, providing a safe place to process life's hurts and experience the hope and restoration that are possible when pain is met with compassion and truth. That experience helped me realize that one of the greatest needs people have is a safe place to heal. It ultimately led me back to graduate school and I earned my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I am passionate about creating a safe place for Christians to wrestle honestly with life's challenges. Whether you're facing personal struggles, spiritual questions, or seasons of uncertainty, my hope is to help you find healing, clarity, and deeper freedom.
