About

Tanya Ward, LMFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, clinical supervisor, educator, and EMDR Certified Consultant based in Southern California. She is currently completing her Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy (DMFT) with a specialization in Child and Adolescent Therapy at Hope International University. Tanya also serves as a graduate professor and clinical supervisor for Marriage and Family Therapy trainees and associates.

Tanya and her team have extensive experience working with children, teens, adults, couples, and families, with specialized training in trauma treatment, attachment, anxiety, depression, parenting support, and relational healing. Tanya is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and integrates trauma-informed, attachment-based, and faith-informed approaches into her work with clients.

Our team is passionate about helping individuals and families experience healing, restoration, and deeper connection in their relationships, faith, and personal growth.

At Restoration Therapy Group, we believe healing happens through safe relationships, compassionate care, and hope-filled support. Our practice provides Christian counseling services for children, teens, adults, couples, and families in a warm and welcoming environment.

We specialize in trauma-informed therapy and offer support for anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, grief, parenting challenges, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. Our therapists integrate evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, attachment-focused therapy, CBT, family systems therapy, and faith-based counseling when desired by the client.

Our mission is to create a space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered as they move toward healing and restoration. Whether someone is navigating trauma, relational pain, spiritual struggles, or everyday stressors, we are committed to walking alongside them with compassion, professionalism, and care.

Life can be filled with so many difficult stressors that impact our emotional, physical, mental, and relational health, but we are not meant to go through it alone. Whether you are struggling with conflicts in close family relationships, identity, life transitions, anxiety, depression, or seeking healing from abuse/trauma, it is important to know you have the resources in you to make significant changes in your life.

I understand that no two individuals are the same, and have an approach to work collaboratively with each individual, couple, or family to address their unique concerns and situations. I am committed to helping clients identify truths about themselves, cultivate healthy relationships, and to walk through life’s overwhelming challenges.

I use therapeutic approaches such as, Structural Family Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Prepare and Enrich, and my previous experience in ministry contexts also allows me to integrate spirituality into our therapeutic wor

I understand what it is like to struggle, feeling hopeless and alone. There is hope! This is why I feel one of the greatest joys is the opportunity to be a voice of hope for my clients and to provide space to feel safe, seen, and heard. Past clients have described me to be compassionate, empathic, authentic, and patient. I specialize in working with those who struggle with life transitions, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, communication, and relationship issues. I utilize various therapy modalities such as Cognitive BehavioralTherapy (CBT), Attachment theories, EMDR and Prepare and Enrich. For interested clients, I am also open to integrating faith in therapy.

I would be honored to have the opportunity to work together to help you feel empowered and to provide space for healing and moving forward in achieving your goals toward lasting change.

Reaching out for support can feel daunting, so thank you for taking this step. Therapy is a collaborative process where we work together to navigate challenges, uncover your strengths, and explore new possibilities for growth.

I use evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy, and EMDR when helpful, working with individuals managing anxiety, depression, stress and anger, men’s issues, and relationship challenges. This is a space where your story matters, your feelings are valued, and your next chapter can begin with hope. If this resonates, I invite you to take the next step. You don’t have to walk this journey alone. Together, we can turn today’s challenges into tomorrow’s strengths.

Hey there! Having been on the receiving end of therapy myself, I understand how scary and daunting it can be to take that first step toward seeking help. At times, it may feel easier to stay where you are, but my goal is to provide you with safety, comfort, and a fresh perspective to encourage the kind of change that will be most helpful for you—whenever you feel ready.

My approach is client-centered, Christian-based, and tailored to each individual to ensure you receive the best care possible. I understand that some clients may not wish to incorporate faith into therapy, and if that's the case, please let me know, and I will gladly accommodate that!

I specialize in relational issues, self-image, differentiation from family, identity challenges, anxiety, navigating culture as a first-generation immigrant, and faith exploration and healing. I am EMDR trained and hold certificates in How We Love, Prepare/Enrich, and play therapy. I look forward to walking alongside you on this jour
