About

Tele-therapy shortens the distance between you and access to licensed counseling services. I am currently accepting new clients residing anywhere in Maryland or Pennsylvania for individual, couples, and career counseling services.

Meaningful personal growth and self-efficacy can be realized by any person, couple or family in the face of personal challenges.

How well you manage to cope, survive and eventually thrive in the midst of these challenges can be aided by establishing a genuine collaboration with a competent therapist, and learning to manage your thoughts, moods, and behaviors that affect your heart, spirit, and life, along with the collective heart/spirit/mind of your marital and family units.

Collaborative Counseling, LLC does not participate directly with insurance plans or EAP’s (Employee Assistance Plans). After paying fees for services ($140 for couples or family therapy, $125 for individual) I can provide clients with a "Super Bill" receipt to submit to insurance for reimbursement of covered expenses for out-of-network services. I can also help clients find other licensed providers based on treatment goals and a need to use insurance benefits.

For a brief phone consultation, feel free to call me at 410-702-5138.

My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice

These words of Jesus have profound implications: “If your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light.” Within the context of seeking and providing help for emotional distress, I believe that even while the light exists, we all sometimes need assistance to improve the soundness of our mental, emotional, and spiritual “eyes” and allow more light into the thoughts and emotions that influence our behavior.

I seek to honor the sacred and unique way that clients experience their own relationship with God, during periods of surviving and thriving amidst mental, emotional, and relational challenges.
From my own studies of the Bible and the major theories of counseling psychology, I am continually awed and intrigued by the applicability of ancient wisdom and orthodox Christian truths to modern issues of relational, emotional, and mental health.
