About

At Rooted Hope Counseling, it is our mission to walk alongside those we serve in an authentic and trustworthy fashion, providing services that are biblically consistent and clinically sound to help them fulfill their potential. Rooted Hope is owned by Kirsten Edwards, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and was delighted to recently welcome Paige Salomone, LCSW as a therapist, as well.

Rooted Hope specializes in Christian counseling and anxiety. Additional areas of focus include helping women and girls understand their immense value, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, transitioning to adulthood, assertiveness, communication, managing stress, parenting, and navigating spiritual issues.

My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice

As Christian therapists, we love helping our clients learn how to confidently face any trial from a position of security, in firmly rooted hope. Jeremiah 17:7-8 speaks to the core of our mission and summarizes the firmly rooted, confident hope that the Bible says is available despite any and all circumstances. It says, "...blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” We would be honored to walk with you on your journey to discover this rock-solid hope in a fresh way, even in the face of whatever season of heat or drought in which you may find yourself.

Kirsten Edwards

LCSW
Rooted Hope Counseling is owned by Kirsten Edwards, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly two decades of clinical experience in schools, at a large Christian agency, and in private practice. Kirsten loves helping women and girls see their immense worth and helping those who are struggling and may feel anxious, stressed, and worn down. She loves finding fun and engaging ways to connect with children and supporting parents to problem-solve challenges. Additionally, Kirsten offers support for those struggling with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). Kirsten also enjoys walking alongside clients who are struggling to navigate issues of faith. Her specialties are Christian counseling and anxiety.
Paige Salomone

Paige Salomone

LCSW
While serving as a social work professor at a small Christian university, Paige discovered her passion for helping young adult women navigate challenges like anxiety, depression, struggles with understanding their immense value, and the transition to adulthood. Paige is on schedule to graduate with her Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) from a trauma-informed program in August of 2026.

Paige also specializes in Christian counseling, as she identifies her Christian faith as being at the root of all she does as a therapist. Her faith guides how she invites clients to see themselves–as images of God, children of God, and loved by God. A verse that she finds very relevant to her practice is:

“I sought the Lord and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to Him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.” Psalm 34:4-5

Shame and fear are powerful motivators that can keep us from change and from living in relationship with God the way we were intende
