About
Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or grief? Whether you are a parent, connected to the military, first responder, or individual wanting to process and heal, you have come to the right place. You will find me to be an empathic, warm, holistic, and insightful therapist. I have tools to help you in your healing journey such as Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and DBT skills. Most importantly, I will be with you in the pain and challenges as you make your way towards healing.
I am a Christ follower and I endeavor to live as He lived on earth – with compassion and love. I believe He orchestrates healing through connection and community, which can include therapy. This is my personal faith and worldview, but I do not expect my clients to share them. Whether you’d like to discuss a similar or different faith, I’d like to meet you in the counseling room as you need.
With my own healing journey and experience, research, and education, I strongly believe we are complicated, integrated, and holistic human beings; our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual parts all inform and affect one another. While we work together I will be asking questions about all of these areas. There will be no judgment; the goal is to strengthen each part to pursue healing and wholeness.
I am a Mental Health Practitioner pursuing my Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) license. I received my Master’s degree at Bethel University in St. Paul, MN. I am currently under the supervision of Claire Baumgartner, LICSW and Amanda Cornelius, LPCC. Along with individual supervision, I attend a monthly supervision group and participate in consultations with my Wellspring Group colleagues. When you work with me you not only get my expertise but also several practitioners’ decades of knowledge.
I offer a free 15 minute consultation over the phone for new clients. Please go to my website rustadtherapy.com for more information. I look forward to talking with you!
