About

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3) speaks to the heart of why many people seek counselling. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) providing Christian faith-based integrated counselling to adults and couples throughout British Columbia. I earned my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fresno Pacific Biblical Seminary and have worked in a Christian faith-based counselling clinic with individuals, couples, pastors, and ministry leaders. I also support those experiencing spiritual distress, doubt, ministry burnout, or difficulties in their relationship with God.

I believe Christian faith and sound clinical care can work together. My integrative approach draws from EMDR therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, cognitive-behavioural approaches, and family systems perspectives. I have also completed specialized training in Treating Affairs and Trauma and work with couples facing infidelity, betrayal, damaged trust, conflict, and emotional disconnection. When desired, Scripture, prayer, forgiveness, grace, and questions of faith and meaning can be thoughtfully incorporated into therapy.

I work with trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, marital and relationship difficulties, infidelity, stress, burnout, significant life changes, and faith-related distress. My goal is to provide a compassionate setting where truth and grace accompany careful clinical work, allowing you to pursue healing, wisdom, stronger relationships, and meaningful change without setting aside the faith that matters to you.

Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist

My decision to become a Christian counsellor grew from the conviction that people should not have to leave their faith at the door when seeking professional help. Scripture speaks openly about suffering, grief, fear, broken relationships, forgiveness, hope, and restoration. My education at Fresno Pacific Biblical Seminary strengthened this calling by allowing me to study marriage and family therapy within a Christian theological setting. Through my clinical work, I have had the privilege of counselling individuals, couples, pastors, and ministry leaders, including those experiencing doubt, spiritual distress, ministry burnout, or painful experiences within the church.

I believe sound psychological treatment and sincere Christian faith can work together. Evidence-based approaches can help address trauma, emotional distress, and relationship patterns, while faith can speak to questions of meaning, identity, forgiveness, hope, and our relationship with God. My desire is to provide a place where clients can be honest about both, approaching counselling with compassion, truth, grace, and clinical responsibility as they seek healing, wisdom, stronger relationships, and a way forward. Ultimately, I believe that true healing comes from God. As counsellors, we are instruments in His capable hands, called to use our training, knowledge, and gifts faithfully in the service of others, while recognizing that God is the source of healing and restoration. I see this work not simply as a profession, but as an opportunity to participate in His purpose and, through faithful service to others, contribute to the work of His Kingdom.
