We are a team of licensed Christian counselors who specialize in family dynamics, trauma recovery, and transition adjustment. We are licensed to provide teletherapy to clients in DC, VA, TX, and FL. In-person sessions are in downtown DC.

The focus of our practice is to help people find freedom from the memories and fears that cause relationship difficulty and internal distress. Our therapists are trained to provide Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a therapeutic method helpful for anxiety disorders, traumatic reactions (PTSD), recovering from past abuse and neglect, and dealing with recurring negative beliefs.

My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice

Angela Sarafin: Early in my career I worked in a state-funded program at an agency which provided a lot of camaraderie with other therapists and was wonderful in many ways, but I was not really free to talk about Jesus unless the client brought it up. Starting this private counseling practice has been a wonderful gift. It is the crucible that is refining my faith; my faith that God will provide financially even when the schedule looks empty, that he will provide energy when the schedule looks overwhelming, that he will provide camaraderie with others, and the constant reminder that He is the true source of all wisdom, healing, and comfort. I am excited that God is now allowing me to build a group of Christian trauma-informed counselors to serve the DMV area.
