About

Our Geneva office is one of three Stenzel Clinical Services, Ltd. locations, along with Wheaton and Naperville. We have helped people in the western suburbs since December 1, 2003. We believe all people can find hope and live well, so we walk with each client along their own path of healing. Today we have over 30 licensed therapists with many different specialties, and we see children as young as three, teens, adults, couples, and families, in person and online by video for people who live in Illinois.

Our care includes anxiety, depression, marriage, divorce and life transition, grief, abuse and trauma, anger, self-injury, addictions, teen counseling, and play therapy for children.

For those who want it, we offer Christian counseling. It brings sound clinical care and Christian faith together, and faith is never required. Our therapists practice their faith in different denominations, and we are not affiliated with any denomination. Our owner and clinical director, Grant Stenzel, LCPC, served as a pastor at three churches before private practice and is the founder of Gospel Centered Therapy. We also offer spiritual direction.

We are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, and Cigna, and we bill your insurance for you. Daytime, evening, and weekend appointment times are available.

Call 630-588-1201 (one number for every office) or request an appointment at https://www.stenzelclinical.com/contact/. More about our Geneva office: https://www.stenzelclinical.com/about/geneva/

My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice

For many people, faith shapes how they understand pain, hope, relationships, and who they are. In Christian counseling you don't have to leave your faith at the door, and your questions about God are welcome. We start by listening to your story, including your faith story if you want to share it. Then you and your therapist decide together how faith will be part of counseling. Your therapist can bring prayer, Scripture, and questions of faith into the work at a pace you choose, alongside the same practical tools our therapists use every day. There's no pressure and no judgment. We're glad to support local churches by caring for people who need more time and expertise than church staff can give.
