About
I have been practicing in the field for over 24 years offering client-centered care from a social work lens. I am a licensed clinical social worker in California who received my Masters from UC Berkeley. I have worked for numerous govermental agencies, non profits and am currently in private practice. I have extensive experience working in family groups through trauma, addiction and behavioral concerns. I utilize numerous strategies and therapeutic styles in which to accomplish your goals including evidenced based Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Narrative and Gestalt therapies, Inner child work as well as Family Systems and Eco therapy. I am very relatable and transparent collaborating with you in your treatment. I respect and honor your capacity and encourage feedback in our work together.
I feel very blessed to be a vessel of our Father's will. I pray prior to every session I hold that I can be a vessel of Yahweh's will and that I can be of greatest service. Despite my decades of experience and expertise according to the the State of California; your true healing is through our Father and I am honored that I get to be utilized with the gifts that He bestowed upon me.
Our sessions can be as Faith centered or focused as you wish.

My Christian Faith and My Professional Practice
I came to this work because I needed to study psychotherapy in order to learn how to heal myself from trauma in my own past. I was ravenous with learning. I also had worked with youth in treatment centers and group homes and was deeply touched by the transformative work that can unfold in humans. I have never felt more content than when I am of service. I knew I needed to shift my focus from Film to Social work and began my lifelong career.
I have studied and practiced many spiritual traditions. Once I had my children, I found that I appreciated the lifestyle that Christians can tend to engage in more than other faiths I had studied. I delved head first into reading Scriptures and being involved in Worship teams. I cannot heal alone; as hard as I work and as studied as I am; I am only effective when I surrender to the Father's will and allow myself to be utilized as He sees fit. As someone with deep trauma, surrendering wasn't easy; but enough obstacles helped me to see that it was the only solution that would offer peace. I am blessed that He has sought me out over and over again and that I get to raise my children in His word.
I am forever indebted and truly love the work I do; it's honestly the favorite part of my day.
Remember that Yahshua held in his Ministry people who walked the trenches of life; none of us can judge; only the Father. Not only do I follow that due to my faith, but due to my own past and history desperate to survive. But my life is elevated and beautiful now due to the healing and grace of our Father. I know suffering and pain as I have chronic auto-immune issues as well as numerous traumas I have learned to walk through moving forward new, whole and with purpose.
