About
With over 22 years of private practice experience, I have helped clients navigate rebuilding their marriage after and affair, addictions, body image concerns, faith questions, communication issues, infertility and miscarriage, divorce recovery, and the unique challenges faced by foster and adoptive families.
My ideal clients are adults, adolescents, couples, and families who desire God's Word to be the foundation of the healing work we do together. I've worked with clients facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, infidelity recovery, grief, trauma, parenting struggles, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and codependency/fear of man.
Healing involves both honest exploration of our stories and compassionate care as we walk toward restoration. I view emotional and relational healing through the lens of God’s truth, grace, and renewed thinking according to His Word. I guide clients in developing new patterns of thinking (Romans 12:2), and I help them navigate new ways of relating to others that align with God's truth.
As a root-cause therapist, I take time to understand your story, identify underlying factors contributing to your struggles and lies you may believe, and gently get to the heart issues underneath the present pain. Together, we work toward insight, practical tools for growth, accountability, and meaningful change.
My goal is to help clients experience greater emotional resilience, healthier God- glorifying relationships, and a renewed hope in Christ as they walk with greater freedom and clarity towards healing.
Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
My passion for becoming a therapist began at age 12. After my parents divorced when I was 10, I met with a Christian school counselor who made a lasting impact on my life. That experience sparked a desire to help others the way I had been helped.
After becoming a Christ follower as a teenager, I spent several summers serving on mission trips around the world. Working in an orphanage in China and in one of Mother Teresa’s homes in India deepened my compassion for people who were hurting and strengthened my sense of calling. Looking back, I can see how God was preparing and guiding me toward this work.
I believe it is difficult to guide clients where you have never been yourself, which is why my own personal therapy journey has been so important. I know the road can be challenging, but you don't have to walk it alone.
