My passion is working with families, couples, and men seeking relief from issues related to communication; regulating emotions, thoughts, and behaviors; and strained or fractured relationships. I also have clinical experience treating anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), intrusive thoughts, depression, grief, trauma, and ADHD. My typical clients seek to relate more peacefully to their loved ones and want to develop more effective coping skills against their daily stressors. Together we can escape and combat the issues attempting to imprison your life and treasured relationships.
I have a Master’s Degree in Family Counseling, and I use a foundation of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) which works to challenge the thoughts and emotions that trigger unhelpful responses to typical, daily circumstances. I also use solution-focused and emotionally-focused strategies to help clients practice coping skills that integrate both their logical and emotional processes instead of favoring only one style over the other.
My clients consistently remind me of the sacred work I get to do by sitting in their stories and relationships with them. Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
I think part of my personal ministry is to partner with people as an empathic helper for folks applying a foundation of theological Truth and complementing that foundation with proven psychological theories and interventions. Whether the conflict is experienced in the context of a relationship or internally within oneself, the fact remains that people experience regular, almost chronic conflict. I became a professional Christian Therapist to help people regulate and resolve these conflicts.
