I am a Licensed/Certified Professional Pastoral Christian Counselor, my specialties include: Individual, Marriage & Family, Drugs and Alcohol Addiction, Anxiety, Trauma/Crisis Intervention, Unforgiveness, Depression, Grief & Loss, Bereavement and Group Therapy. I utilize Christian resources to address a wide spectrum of disorders and daily life challenges.
There are ultimately two sides to mankind, the physical and the spiritual. The spiritual represents the Adamic nature from the earth, while the spiritual represents Jesus Christ from heaven; however, we often ensure we are physically fulfilled but tend to neglect our spiritual side. Through counselling I can help you realize your full potential and take you through the Metamorphosis experience, which will allow you to make a seamless transformation from your caterpillar stage into the butterfly by the renewing of the mind. As a Pastor who has served for well over 15 years, I believe based on my experience, that I am qualified and able to walk you through this transitional process.1 Cor. 15:45-49.
I have worked with diverse groups of people in all areas of counselling, within the church and community, for well over twenty years. Therefore, giving me the opportunity of interacting with a variety of cultures, personalities and situations. Based on my experience serving as Pastor in the local church, I have come to recognize the importance of meeting the needs of congregants and those of the community through counselling. As a Pastor/Shepherd my spiritual aspirations is to help mankind to discover their spiritual purpose through the Metamorphose experience, from the caterpillar that represent the natural to the butterfly which represents the spiritual. I am a graduate of Liberty University with a PhD in Philosophy with concentration in Behavioural Science. Why I Became a Pastoral Therapist
Being a Pastor, I believe that Christian Counselling plays a significant role in the church and the world today. The scriptures bear record of Jesus' ministry on earth. Through them, he demonstrated the importance of counselling those who are hurting, broken, sick, helpless, hopeless and suffering from unforgiveness. I believe in Jesus' teachings, instructions and examples that is recorded in the holy scriptures (see Matt 5:1-12). In these verses Jesus taught his disciples of the importance of offering comfort to those who are experiencing challenges in various areas of life. Jesus being the great Counsellor and the upper-shepherd to us Pastors, who are the under shepherd, we are mandated to fulfill our ministries through the same application of reaching those that are challenged by the uncertainties of life. As a result, my conviction is to minister in a wholistic fashion to hurting individuals and those who may seek help for spiritual guidance and directions for their lives.
In conclusion, my many experiences, serving in the local church and interacting with parishioners and community members who have faced circumstantial situations have propelled me into this field. I have also come to recognize that as a Pastor, I have an obligation to take care of God's people through Christian counselling. Upon this fact, there is a moral obligation not only to win souls but also to see to the wellbeing of God's people.
