I am a Licensed Clinical Social Woker with over 30 years of experience working with children, families, teens, adults, couples, and the aging population. I have served people dealing issues such as anxiety, depression, abuse & neglect, grief & loss, couple’s conflict, and other relational issues.
I am trained and utilize cutting edge evidenced based techniques however, the core concepts that I integrate into practice include Christian, Faith Based and Spiritual Principles.
Central to my practice in addition to evidenced based techniques are Christian, faith-based, and spiritual principles and values. I integrate these core concepts into my work, drawing on scriptural teachings such as:
- LOVE: "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." (Mark 12:31 KJV)
- PEACE: "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27 KJV)
- SERVICE: "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Mark 10:45 NIV)
Things that you can expect while working with me include, your feeling loved, esteemed, and finding a safe space where you can let down the cares of this world and learn skills to improve your wellbeing.
My goal is that you will go away feeling more at peace, better equipped to deal with the challenges of life that you face, and the experience that you have been served well during our time together.
I currently only provide services via telehealth and serve patients throughout the states of Florida & Minnesota.
Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
I became a Christian Counselor because I want others to know that it is possible to integrate Christian principles into traditional counseling to help improve their mental and spiritual wellbeing and functioning. I also want to teach others about having a personal relationship with God can benefit them.
