About

At Vibrant Women Wellness Counseling, our goal is to support women and girls as they go through life’s challenges. We are guided by Isaiah chapter 61 verses 1-4, to bring the good news of God to the brokenhearted, to set them free from their emotional and or other forms of bondage. We encourage women to focus upwards to develop hope in God that He is able to help them through whatever they encounter. Through the comfort that we ourselves have received from God, we comfort the women that come for help at Vibrant Women (2 Corinthians 1:4). By addressing areas of mental, physical, and spiritual health, we work to strengthen women's resilience amidst their challenges, to foster the development of vibrance in their lives.

As a clinician, I welcome conversations on racial, spiritual and gender identity through support, affirmation and collective efforts towards building individual self-esteem and self-love. Managing through the work world and taking on adult responsibilities, I further welcome the opportunity for career counseling and support for young adults/new professionals /working moms/single parents/ recent retirees in their desire to seek new responsibilities, new opportunities and establishing a new professional identity through client- centered problem solving and goal-setting.

As a mental health counselor in training, I pride myself in using many theories and techniques to help those struggling with anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns. Some of the theories are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-centered Therapy, and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. These theories believe in centering counseling around the person and using various techniques to improve their thought process, in doing so, bettering clients' lives.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and I am currently completing a graduate program in Mental health counseling. I am also fluent in English and Haitian Creole; sessions can be conducted in either language. I look forward to our working relationship.

The process of finding a therapist can be difficult. It is critical that the relationship is a good match. An ideal client would be one that has not had great experiences in therapy, mostly due to cultural or religious differences. The needs and issues may vary. If healing and optimal wellness is the goal, we are on the same page. During the therapeutic process, we would talk through the concerns and build functional coping skills for optimal health and wellness.
