About
I work with teens and adults, offering a space where you can feel heard. I have experience helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, self-harm, hopelessness, and relationship challenges. I am especially passionate about working with women and teens who are struggling with identity, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. Sessions are virtual only and currently I accept Cigna, Aetna, Quest, and Carelon Behavioral Health Insurance.
Why I Became a Professional Christian Therapist
My path to becoming a Christian counselor grew out of a deep desire to care for the whole person. Early in my career as a teacher, I noticed that I was often more concerned with my students’ emotional well-being than their academic performance. I found myself wanting to understand what they were carrying internally—their fears, hurts, and unmet needs—because those things so often shaped their ability to thrive.
I initially pursued counseling from a secular framework, but over time I found it increasingly difficult to separate what I knew to be true from the biblical foundations that had shaped my understanding of healing and growth. I felt as though I was trying to help wounded people without access to the most essential source of truth and hope. For me, faith could not be set aside—it was central.
Scripture teaches that the greatest commandments are to love the Lord with all our heart, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. These principles are foundational to the work I do in counseling. I seek to understand the condition of a client’s heart and mind while gently integrating biblical truth to guide the process toward healing, forgiveness, clarity, and greater freedom. My calling as a Christian counselor is to walk alongside others with compassion, wisdom, and grace, always pointing toward truth that restores.
